Main duties and responsibilities:
You will be working in our Technology department and you will be responsible for meeting all technical program requirements including engineering budget, schedule, meeting product CTQs, quality, regulatory compliance, design to cost targets, etc
You will own technical CTQs including efficiency, reliability, product cost of MGPP (multi generation product plan) for type 3 and 4. Meet technical CTQs of product requirements document. Own budget, schedule and specification for prototype hardware procurement. Own, prepare and lead design Reviews, involve Chief Engineer and Design review team. Monitor and control engineering budget including prototype material and test budget. Lead cross functional engineering team, integrate external engineering contractors as needed. Own and drive the NPI engineering & validation scope according to our clients TG process. Own, monitor and control NPI engineering & validation schedule through serial release (TG#8). Integrate in risk management, with NPI program manager highlight risk to senior management, highlight risk from new technologies, instigate NTIs (new technology introductions) for pre validation. Lesson learned documentation for new product development. Frequent status reports to NPI program manager and engineering GM.
Prepare technical sections for TG reviews.
Essential criteria: Masters degree in Engineering. 10 years of experience in engineering and a minimum of five years experience in project management in engine development. Reciprocating engine experience required...
Desirable criteria: Gas engine experience preferred. Leadership skills preferably leading of engineering project teams. process management skills, familiar with engineering product development processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
